Conservatives versus Socialists

A Conservative’s opinions and desires are based upon facts and what is fair in general to all. A Socialist’s opinions and desires are based upon a sense of want and entitlement for themselves or their special interest group.

The problem with Socialist systems is that they are doomed to failure from the start. If you take from the productive to give to the unproductive you will end up with an unsustainable model. Why would one continue to produce extra when the reward of wealth from hard work is taken away then given to others? The reason one works harder is the reward of accumulated wealth. If one does not work hard and is given others productivity the inevitable result is even more of the same. As more and more productive citizens become unproductive the authorities are forced to take even more from those that are still productive causing some of them to reduce their output and on and on this proceeds until the system collapses under its own weight.

The auto industry is indicative of the Marxist fantasy world inhabited by unions. Big governments with their unionized worker elite amplify the failures of Chrysler or GM. Toyota and smaller government nations exemplify the utility of market dynamics. Kill off the unions and increase company and national wealth. The time of unionized Marxism is long over. Chrysler and big government incompetence are the obvious manifestations of that fact. I have no problem as long as the playing field is level but when there is artificial equalizers like prevailing wage and osha inspectors not watching union sites with the same vigilance as others or the members of a union having membership as a condition of employment (can you say monopoly) then using the extorted dues to bribe oops I meant elect sympathetic politicians that will be sitting across from them at the bargaining table giving out deals that harm the taxpayers and students!

Unions were needed back in the days of sweat shops, killing mills and mines of 100 years ago. But now they are mostly lazy, greedy and corrupt beyond redemption and living in the past. We need to progress into the future with compensation based on merit and factoring the required productivity to live a decent life. Large overreaching inefficient government and organized labor are the problem. The inmates can't run the asylum management needs to manage. Don’t like your job then don't work there! 150 years ago some of the Progressive planks of their platform were needed reforms but those reforms are in place and are now here to stay and they need to go the way of the dodo bird and become extinct because we need to evolve beyond the rest of the Progressives destructive and oppressive agenda.

Poverty should not be comfortable. I am not saying anyone should starve as some assistance to the most needy is in order. I am referring to the excessive amounts being dolled out under our current system.

Conservatism generally opposes radical changes in social and economic domain. As the word connoted, the accumulated knowledge of the past and its application to political and economic functions is better to be conserved. Almost all representatives of the theory of conservatism placed great emphasis on the wisdom of generations, which naturally led to the formation of traditional values and customs. Any social experiment by government was perceived as a threat for the tradition of the nation which was the main factor contributing to the preservation of social stability and, consequently, of national development. Change was to be accepted only if it occurred at a gradual and consistent pace.

Fascism (pronounced /ˈʃɪzəm/) is an ultraconservative, authoritarian nationalist political ideology. Fascists seek to organize a nation according to corporatist perspectives, values, and systems, including the political system and the economy. Fascism was originally founded by Italian national syndicalists in World War I who combined extreme right-wing political views along with collectivism. Collectivism is completely the opposite of what an American Conservative believes!

What is socialism? It is a politico-economic philosophy that believes government must direct all major economic decisions by command, and thus all the means of production for the greater good. "HITLER WAS A SOCIALIST" said John J. Ray (M.A.; Ph.D.)! There are more historians and evidence supporting Hitler's roots as a leftest albeit a Nationalist also. He is defiantly has little in common with an American Conservative. Look at the National Socialist platform and see!
The National Socialist Workers Party supported Universal health care, free food distribution for the poor, free education through university, a woman's right to have a abortion, guaranteed social pensions, a guaranteed right to work and unlimited unemployment benefits for those unable to find work, guaranteed housing, They had planned to provide government subsidized cars for every household. Sounds like Obama would support a lot of those positions.

Nazism (Nationalsozialismus, National Socialism) was the ideology and practice of the Nazi Party and of Nazi Germany. They declared support for a nationalist form of socialism that was to provide for the Aryan race and the German nation: economic security, social welfare programs for workers, a just wage, honour for workers' importance to the nation, and protection from capitalist exploitation. Sounds like a twist of Socialism to me and defiantly not based on American Conservatism.

Progressives turned the depression into the great depression as evidenced by the fact that Europe came out of the depression much faster than we did. In fact our depression turned into the uniquely American great depression. FDR’s socialist programs and his increase of government, anti business and pro union decisions saw to the prolonged economic woes that lingered on for years.

Progress is a good thing. Progressivism is not about progress but about centralized government and excessive taxes that all control society just in differing degrees and minor nuances. They all stifle productivity, innovation and freedom. They all make most people miserable and incite violence against their opposition. Progressivism creates false expectations among the poor that cannot be fulfilled. Communist Body Count: 149,469,610 all killed in peacetime by socialism so far! See Stalin Mao.

USSR went bankrupt and folded due to an unsustainable system! China had to return to the right due to their unsustainable system and will continue to track right in order to continue surviving! The proof is in the fact that their own people continue to leave in droves and immigrate to other countries to the right of their system.

Here are some examples of economic failures such as Cuba, China, USSR, Cambodia, Vietnam, North Korea, Greece, France, Free Ireland, most of central and South America Canada, California and my personal favorite National Socialist Germany.

Communism/Socialism/Liberalism /Progressivism all stifle productivity, innovation and freedom. They all make most people miserable and incite violence against their opposition. Progressivism creates false expectations among the poor that cannot be fulfilled. Why will anyone continue to be productive over time when 60% of your efforts is given to the unproductive? All will work less and less as there is no incentive to do otherwise!

I get that Communism/Socialism/Liberalism /Progressivism are all about a centralized government and excessive taxes that all control society just in differing degrees and minor nuances.

A Free America vs. A Socialist/Marxist America

"The American people must decide in the next elections if they want a free America or they want a socialist/Marxist America. To this old curmudgeon sitting on the outside looking in, those are the real options that are being placed before the American voters this election cycle." Quote from Jim Gourdie
"What is socialism? It is a politico-economic philosophy that believes government must direct all major economic decisions by command, and thus all the means of production for the greater good, however defined. There are three major divisions of socialism, all antagonistic to each other. One is democratic socialism, that places the emphasis on democratic means, but then government is a tool for improving welfare and equality. A second division is Marxist-Leninism, which based on a “scientific theory” of dialectical materialism, sees the necessity of a dictatorship (“of the proletariat”) to create a classless society and universal equality. Then, there is the third division, or state socialism. This is a non-Marxist or anti-Marxist dictatorship that aims at near absolute economic control for the purpose of economic development and national power, all construed to benefit the people.
Mussolini’s fascism was a state socialism that was explicitly anti-Marx and aggressively nationalistic. Hitler’s National Socialism was state socialism at its worse. It not only shared the socialism of fascism, but was explicitly racist. In this it differs from the state socialism of Burma today, and that of some African and Arab dictatorships.
Two prevailing historical myths that the left has propagated successfully is that Hitler was a far right wing conservative and was democratically elected in 1933 (a blow at bourgeois democracy and conservatives). Actually, he was defeated twice in the national elections (he became chancellor in a smoke-filled-room appointment by those German politicians who thought they could control him and as head of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, he considered himself a socialist, and was one by the evidence of his writings and the his economic policies.
To be clear, National Socialism differs from Marxism in its nationalism, emphasis on folk history and culture, idolization of the leader, and its racism. But the Nazi and Marxist-Leninists shared a faith in government, an absolute ruler, totalitarian control over all significant economic and social matters for the good of the working man, concentration camps, and genocide/democide as an effective government policy (only in his last years did Stalin plan for his own Holocaust of the Jews)." a Rudy Rummel quote.

I always welcome any input on these matters especially from the Leftists. Just keep it civil, factual and truthful and I will not remove it (I know many of you Liberals struggle with a civil, factual and truthful discussion see
Why Liberals Always Resort To Name-Calling?).
